Environmental Technology

Chemdist offers various environmental solutions and engineered products tailored to meet customers' industrial process requirements. We offer a complete portfolio of Solid, Liquid and Gaseous waste handling with our air & liquid pollution control technologies.

Our emissions control solutions oxidize, filter, recontain and/or purify vapor-phase and liquid effluents from a variety of processes. Key air pollution abatement technologies include oxidizers (regenerative thermal, regenerative catalytic and recuperative catalytic), solvent recontainy systems, carbon adsorption, wet scrubbers, acid gas absorbers and distillation and purification equipment.

Thermal Oxidizers are typically used to destroy Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from industrial air streams. These pollutants are generally hydrocarbon based and when destroyed via thermal combustion they are chemically changed to form CO2 and H2O.

Chemdist provides a wide range of solutions including regenerative and recuperative oxidizers

  • Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO)
  • Recuperative Thermal Oxidizers
  • Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizers (RCO)
  • Recuperative Catalytic Oxidizers

  • Variety : three chamber and rotary RTO processes are optional;
  • High removal rate : VOCs removal efficiency is high, the highest can reach more than 99%, suitable for different working conditions;
  • High applicability : it can handle many components, almost all organic waste gas
  • Economic benefits : waste heat device can be configured as required; high efficiency heat exchange makes the equipment have good economy and safety
  • Operation safety : flameout protection, over temperature alarm and other functions make the operation safer;
  • Easy to use: high degree of automation control and convenient maintenance;
  • Proper structure : the system is compact in structure and contains a small area;
  • Real time monitoring : PLC system is used to realize multiple protection, self-inspection and troubleshooting, and the system is stable and perfect.

    In the adsorption process, molecules of a contaminated gas are attracted to and accumulate on the surface of the activated carbon. Carbon is a commonly used adsorbent due to its very large surface area. In adsorption, gaseous pollutants are removed from an air stream by transferring the pollutants to the solid surface of an adsorbent. Activated carbon is the most commonly used adsorbent, although zeolites, polymers, and other adsorbents may be used.

    Chemdist designs steam regenerated adsorption systems for common solvents, Nitrogen regenerated system for complex mixed solvents and vacuum regeneration system for light petroleum compounds.

Chemdist Solvent Recontainy Systems control vapor emissions and recontain high purity solvents for reuse from diverse industries/manufacturing processes such as:

  • Lithium-ion battery electrode manufacturing,
  • Synthetic film & fiber manufacturing (membranes, battery separators)
  • Pharmaceuticals (tablet coating, fluid bed drying, condenser vents)
  • Paper film & foil coating (magnetic media, adhesive tape)
  • Gravure printing (publications, packaging & product)
  • Chemical manufacturing (hydrogen peroxide, munitions)
  • Electronics (photoresist)
  • Rubber (offset printing blankets, gloves, gaskets, balls)
  • Plastics (foam)
  • Chemical etching
  • Food products (extraction & drying)
  • Degreasing
  • Remediation (soil vapor extraction; air strippers)
  • Waste water treatment (Solvent removal)

    Wet Scrubbers are effective air pollution control devices for removing particles and/or gases from industrial exhaust streams. A Wet Scrubber operates by introducing the dirty gas stream with a scrubbing liquid – typically water. Particulate or gases are collected in the scrubbing liquid. Wet Scrubbers are generally the most appropriate air pollution control device for collecting both particulate and gas in a single system.

  • Gas Scrubbers
  • Venturi scrubbers
  • Ammonia Scrubbers
  • Chlorine scrubbers
  • Dust scrubbers

    Particulate Scrubbers, often called Venturi Scrubbers, are effective at removing particulate from the exhaust with high efficiency. Particulate Scrubbers have several advantages compared to other dust collection equipment. They are able to handle gas streams that contain moisture and/or are high temperature, the overall size of the equipment is typically smaller, and they have the potential to remove pollutant gas at the same time as the particulate.

    Incinerator, container for burning refuse, or plant designed for large-scale refuse combustion. In the second sense, an incinerator consists of a furnace into which the refuse is charged and ignited (usually by a gas burner), a secondary chamber in which burning the refuse at a high temperature is continued to complete the combustion process, and flues to convey the gases to a chimney.
